HP Photo ENVY 7155

Hi! When I turned my HP 7155 printer on the other day, it said it had been recently updated. Yippie! I went to print and it keeps telling me that it cannot because it is out of paper. Yes, true, but only in the photo tray, which I am not trying to use. All of my preferences have now been set to the main tray. I have tried everything I know to try, including unplugging the printer and uninstalling the HP Smart App. I have no idea why it is doing this, but if anyone has any tips, that would be great because I am about to throw it in the ocean.

A couple of places to check...

 

Reminder:  Simply ignore anything you've already tried.

 

 

  • Check the paper size / type settings on the printer display panel
  • Check / Adjust the settings in the Embedded Web Server (EWS) for Tray and Paper
  • Make sure your Preferences > Shortcut is defaulted (selected) as Plain Paper
  • Set the Source (Tray) as opposed to leaving "automatic"

 

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management

If applicable, check the Advanced section (at the bottom of the Tray and Paper Management menu)

Click Apply to save changes
