My HP Envy 5532 has stopped working. It powers up but won't scan or copy from the printer itself. I have tried all the troubleshooting on the HP website but can't get past the virtual assistant (keeps saying my serial number is invalid). The hp diagnostics says there is nothing wrong. I think it might be a software/driver issue but can't get the printer and computer to talk to each other 🙄.  The device is about 5 years old so out of warranty. It is currently displaying the circle of doom after I installed a new ink cartridge several days ago and it needs to print an alignment page but can't/won't do so.

I am losing the will to live with it all now but before I bite the bullet and send it to the big printer hub in the sky, thought I'd reach out to see if any geniuses on here could suggest something I haven't tried. Here's hoping ...

Hi Fabio

Thank you for taking time to reply.

All I am seeing is a conversation thread from Annamarkey. Is that the intended process you refer to?

I cannot press anything on the printer itself because everything is hidden whilst it prints the alignment page (it isn't printing anything but is going through the motions)
