@KT2025, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
It sounds like your HP Envy 6132E is having trouble connecting or communicating with your PC, but it works fine when printing from your phone. There are a few potential causes for this issue, but let’s walk through some troubleshooting steps to fix it.
Check Printer Status
On your PC: Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
Look for your HP Envy 6132E in the list. Make sure it's set as the default printer and the printer status is Ready.
Restart the Printer & PC
Printer: Turn the printer off, wait about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
PC: Sometimes a simple reboot can fix communication issues.
Check the Printer Connection (Wi-Fi or USB)
Wi-Fi: Make sure the printer is connected to the same network as your PC. You can print a Network Configuration Page from your printer’s control panel to check its connection.
USB: If you're using a USB connection, check the cable and port to make sure they are secure and functional.
Run HP Smart:
- Download and run the HP Smart. Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.
- Refer: Use Diagnose & Fix in HP Smart to repair common printing issues (Windows, macOS) | HP® Support
Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
