Hi @Bsue157,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Tango printer isn't reconnecting despite restarting both the printer and computer, here are a few steps that may help resolve the connectivity issue.

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your Mac is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your HP Tango printer. If you recently changed your Wi-Fi password or network name, the printer will need to be reconfigured to connect.

Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your Mac, then go to the printer setup options to re-add the printer.
  • In HP Smart, select Set up a New Printer if it isn’t appearing, and follow the prompts to reconnect it.

Reset Network Settings on Printer:

  • For the HP Tango, press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer for about 5 seconds until the light blinks, which resets the network settings.
  • After resetting, use the HP Smart app to reconfigure the Wi-Fi.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Sometimes connectivity issues can be due to outdated firmware. In the HP Smart app, check if there’s a firmware update available for the printer.

Check for HP Smart App and Mac OS Updates:

  • Ensure the HP Smart app and macOS Ventura are updated to their latest versions to maintain compatibility.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, you may also try connecting your printer using a direct Wi-Fi setup from the Tango printer to see if this provides a stable connection.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
