Hi @SUDHIR11

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for explaining the situation clearly. Since your HP printer scans and saves but won’t print—even with original cartridges—it’s likely a software or communication issue rather than hardware.

Here's a structured approach to resolve it:

Step-by-Step Fix for HP Printer Not Printing

1. Run HP Diagnose & Fix Tool

HP’s latest tool is more reliable than the old Print and Scan Doctor. It automatically detects and resolves printing issues.

  • Download from HP’s official site: HP Diagnose & Fix
  • Run the tool and follow on-screen instructions.

2. Check Printer Status

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers
  • Right-click your printer > See what’s printing
  • If there are stuck jobs, click Printer > Cancel All Documents
  • Ensure Use Printer Offline is not checked.

3. Reinstall the Printer Driver

Even if it worked for years, a Windows update or driver corruption could cause issues.

  • Go to HP Software & Driver Downloads
  • Enter your printer model (e.g., OfficeJet, DeskJet, etc.)
  • Download the Full Feature Software and Driver
  • Uninstall the old driver via Control Panel > Programs
  • Restart your PC and install the new driver

4. Check Print Spooler Service

  • Press Win + R, type services.msc, press Enter
  • Find Print Spooler, right-click > Restart
  • Set Startup Type to Automatic

5. Try Printing from Another App

Sometimes the issue is app-specific. Try printing a test page from:

  • Notepad
  • WordPad
  • Or use Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right-click printer > Printer Properties > Print Test Page

If it still doesn’t print after these steps, let me know your printer model and whether it’s connected via USB or Wi-Fi. I’ll guide you further.
