MY HP9020 shuts down during print jobs.  The shut down is total - pressing the power on button does not do anything.  The only way to re-start the printer is to disconnect from the AC supply and re-connect it.

This usually - but not always - happens with the first print job of the day - send something to the printer, which put itself to sleep overnight - the screen lights up to show data is coming over the network, the paper feed mechanism starts (I can hear it), but within 2 seconds, the printer shuts down.

Sometimes - say 50% of the time - the printer shuts down during a print job. The first page or so are printed correctly, then it suddenly shuts down with a page partially ejected.

And about 50% of the time the printer behaves as it should.  

The number of pages makes little difference. 

The printer is on a network, and is connected by cable.  This can not therefore be a Wifi problem.

The printer is powered by a dedicated AC outlet - it is not shared with any other device.
