I have a HPEnvy Inspire 7900. The Printer program on my Lenovo YOGA will not allow me to print from the photo tray when trying to print from my computer. It has always worked before. It comes up with an error message that reads "Papertray was changed because of conflict with another printer setting". Does anyone know what this means as it is new to me. I have wasted half my day on this, to no avail. The photo tray paper feed is working just fine, as you can make a copy on any size, photo paper using the copier. Any ideas? Thank you.

You will not believe what we have to do to get this HPEnvy Inspire 7900 printer to recognize its photo tray.
First go to setting on your computer, next go to Bluetooth and Devices, then go to Printers and Scanners. Breathe, open your printer, go to Printing Preferences, now select Photo Printing-Borderless, continue with your selections and click on OK. but wait we are not done yet, now go back to the top of the window and select Paper/Quality NOW select PAPER TRAY, type of paper, borderless if you want it, print quality and click on OK. when your done printing photos you have to do the whole process in reverse to be enable the Paper Tray to use printer paper, again. FTLOG, seriously HP a simple tray choice option on the printer page would be lovely or a simpler way to do this? If anyone out there knows how, please let me know. Thank you and always try to maintain your sense of humor, mine is sorely lacking after the ridiculous amount of time we spent on this issue. Lindavm

@Lindavm, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Envy Inspire 7900 Printing Issues with Photo Tray!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The error message "Paper tray was changed because of conflict with another printer setting" typically indicates that there is a mismatch between the paper size or type settings on your computer and those on your printer.
Here are steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
Check Printer Settings: Ensure that the printer settings match the paper type and size you are trying to print on.
- On your printer, navigate to the settings menu and confirm that the paper type and size are set correctly for the photo tray.
Update Printer Driver: Ensure that you have the latest printer driver installed on your Lenovo Yoga laptop.
- Visit the HP Support website to download the most recent driver for your HP Envy Inspire 7900 series.
Printer Properties on Computer:
- Open the print dialog from the application you are using to print photos.
- Click on ‘Printer Properties’ and ensure that the paper type, size, and tray selection match the settings you configured on the printer.
Adjust Print Settings:
- Try adjusting the settings manually. When prompted with the error message, go to the print settings and manually select the photo tray and correct paper size again.
Restart Devices:
- Power cycle both your printer and your laptop to reset any temporary settings that may be causing the issue.
Software Updates:
- Ensure that your Lenovo Yoga has all the latest updates installed for Windows or any other operating system you are using.
Use HP Smart App:
- Try using the HP Smart app for printing photos. It sometimes provides additional options and can resolve conflicts between printer settings.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
