I am using HP C310A all in one Ink jet printer and need the latest printer / scanner driver for my Apple Mcmini M4 computer. ( iOS Tahoe 26.3.1) . Any idea where and how can I get the driver for my new computer?

Hi @Willie888,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP DeskJet 3050A (C310a) driver setup issue on Mac mini M4 (macOS Tahoe 26.3.1). Let’s go through a few checks.

To get your HP Photosmart Premium C310a working on your M4 Mac Mini (running macOS 15 Sequoia, which you've noted as 26.3.1), you should use the built-in AirPrint driver or the HP Smart app. HP no longer provides a traditional standalone driver package for this older model on modern macOS versions.

1. Set Up Printing via AirPrint

AirPrint allows you to print wirelessly without installing any third-party drivers.

  • Connect: Ensure your printer and Mac Mini are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Add Printer: Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
  • Select Printer: Click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax.... Select your HP Photosmart Premium C310a from the list.
  • Choose Driver: In the Use dropdown menu, ensure AirPrint is selected, then click Add

2. Set Up Scanning

Since there is no dedicated scanner driver, use one of these Apple-native or HP-supported methods:

  • HP Smart App: Download the HP Smart App from the Mac App Store. It provides a modern interface for both printing and scanning.
  • Image Capture: Use the pre-installed Image Capture app on your Mac to detect and run the scanner over your network or USB.
  • Printers & Scanners: Once the printer is added (as shown in Step 1), click on the printer name in System Settings and look for the Open Scanner button.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Best regards,

I'm an HP Employee.
