Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello guys. I have problems with my DeskJet 5075 printer. Every time HP makes some update for PC app something goes wrong. Im using it with my router (i dont have USB wire for printer)

For now i cannot print or scan any documents using HP Smart. Also HP Doctor tool cannot fix problem. It shows me some strange printer but when i choose it, app wont allow me to configure it. When i want to print it does nothing. When i want to scan, printer start to work but app shows me error "scan failure". Im able to print or scan docs when im using my android phone. Also im able to scan docs when im using printer menu on web browser.

I've tried so far:
-uninstalling and reinstalling of all HP software im using

-removing and then adding again printer

Something is not right and im exhausted... 😞

Can someone help?

@manfredopl I have a few steps to help you out:

Check if the printer works fine as a stand-alone device while using the copier.

If it doesn't work, this could be a hardware malfunction: Click here to troubleshoot.

If it does, this could be an issue with the drivers and may require a reinstallation to fix this issue, try the below steps.

  • Press "Windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window.
  • Type "services.msc" to get Services - Go to "Print spooler" - Right-click and "Stop" the service.
  • Now again open "Run" - Type "spool" and ok - Go to PRINTERS folder - delete everything in that folder.
  • Go to services again - Start the print spooler.
  • Now check for issue resolution.
  • If the issue persists, unplug the USB cable from the printer if present.
  • Go to Control panel - Programs and feature - Select all the HP printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel - Devices and printer - Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" (There is a space between .exe & /) and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go to the Run window, type - "c:/programdata" - Go to the Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
  • Restart your computer.

Then, use this link to access the HP website, find the drivers compatible with your windows and install it: Click here (download the full feature software)

You simply meant HP Smart software?

@manfredopl Yes, that's exactly what I meant, please do that after you uninstall it using the recommended steps, if that doesn't work, uninstall the driver again and then install the basic drivers this time around, let me know how that goes.

Good luck!
