HP Officeject 6812
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

All of a sudden my computer stopped recognizing my wired printer.  It still recognizes it wirelessly, but we have been having problems with the internet going up and down and need it to connect wired.  When I unplug the printer from the USB port and plug it back in, the computer knows something is there but it says "Unknown USB Device (Device Descripter Request Failed).

I have tried to uninstall the printer, delete the Unknown USB Device, starting both computer and printer with and without USB attached.   HELP.

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Do you have issues connecting other devices to the computer's USB port?

Please ensure the printer has the latest Firmware: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168 and your computer has all the latest updates

Keep me posted
