Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

 

I see you are experiencing issues with the HP Desk Jet Printer.  

 

I have a few recommendations 

  • Check the USB cable for damage and recommended length, and then restart your printer and computer. Turn off the printer and the computer. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer and printer, and then inspect the cable. If the cable is damaged or longer than 3 m, replace it.
  • Click on this link for more settings https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2984732-2984811-16
  • Install HP Smart app to complete setup and support
  1. Install printer software and drivers.
  2. Create an HP account and register your printer.
  3. Connect your printer to Wi-Fi, load paper, and install cartridges.
