I've had issues with the WiFi in my apartment; my printer will show that it's connected, but when I go to print, my laptop will show that it's not connected. I reset my printer preferences on my laptop, and now my printer won't show up as an option to add back on. I've tried to install the printer again, but even when they're right next to each other, the printer still won't show up.  Both my laptop and my printer have strong WiFi signals on the same network.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

I have gone through your Post and I would like to help

Please ensure your Mac is up to date and also update the printer Firmware . You can refer to this Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168

Please restart your Router, Printer and Mac in the same same sequence and try Re-Adding your printer

If the issue persists we will reset the network settings to default

- Touch the Wireless Icon

- Touch the Settings Icon

- Select Restore Network Settings

Then run the wireless setup wizard to connect the printer back to your Network

1. From the printer control panel, touch ( Wireless ).

2. Touch ( Settings ).

3. Touch Wireless Setup Wizard.

4. Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.

Next Remove and Re-Add the printer to the Mac printing Queue using Airprint

  1. Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.

  2. Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, and then do one of the following steps.

    • If your printer is listed, remove and re-add the printer to confirm it is set up for AirPrint. Click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer, click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name and then continue to the next step.

    • If your printer is not listed, click the plus sign, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the name of your printer, and then continue to the next step.

  3. Confirm AirPrint or Secure AirPrint displays in the Use or Print Using menu, and then click Add.

Select AirPrint from the Use menu

Try printing and let me know how it goes

Thank you and have a great weekend 😊
