Hi @ZEKAT,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Your HP OfficeJet 6950 is compatible with macOS Sequoia, but Apple’s recent updates sometimes block older printer drivers. You do not need a new printer; macOS Sequoia introduced new security and driver handling rules. Older HP drivers may not load, but your HP OfficeJet 6950 is supported. You do not need a new printer.

Let’s fix this together

Imagine your printer as a loyal helper waiting at the door, but macOS changed the lock. We’ll give it the right key:

Step 1: Remove Old Printer

  • Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
  • Select your printer and click Remove.

Step 2: Download HP Easy Start

Run it and follow the on-screen steps; it feels like guiding your printer back home.

Step 3: Install HP App

Step 4: Update macOS & Printer Firmware

  • Ensure macOS is fully updated.
  • On the printer: Settings > Printer Maintenance > Update Printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
