@CreativeEd, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Printer Admin issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you have lost the password to access the admin interface of your HP printer, you generally have the option to reset the printer to its factory defaults. This process will typically remove any custom settings, including network configurations, and you can set up the printer anew, including creating a new password for the admin interface.
Here is a general guideline for resetting the printer:
Check the User Manual: First, refer to your printer's user manual for specific instructions on resetting your model to factory settings.
Factory Reset Procedure:
- Access the printer's physical control panel, and look for options related to "Settings" or "Tools."
- Navigate to whichever menu option pertains to "Restore Factory Settings" or "Reset All Settings," and follow the prompts.
Set a New Password: Once reset is complete:
- Set up your printer from scratch, re-establishing connections to your network, and apply a new password when prompted during the setup.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hello Zoey7886,
Thank you for the advice. I have tried this over and over again and the printer requires I put in a password, the password inforgot. I haven't been able to get any results with the resetting procedure in it seems like nothing will work . I can not reset anything it's all grayed out and not an option to me. Is there some default admin password or something I can use to override this setting . I dont know what to do anymore . Thank you for your help and all your time you seem to have given my issue but I still have not been able to reset anything . Is there another way ? Is there maybe a remote way through HP to reset my printer or some. Magic word that will allow me to reset the printer . Everything I have tried will not let me get pass the sign in .
