Hi @HanSay,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130fw printer has become password protected and you're unable to restore factory settings, there are a few steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:
1. Reset the Admin Password via HP Embedded Web Server (EWS) Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)
- Ensure that the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
- Find your printer's IP address by printing a Configuration Page from the printer's control panel.
- Enter the IP address into your web browser to open the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS).
- If you have set up a password before, try logging in using the credentials you remember. If you don't know the password, try the default login:
- Username: admin
- Password: Leave it blank (if not set).
- If you successfully log in, navigate to Security > Administrative Settings and look for options to change the password or reset it.
2. Restore the Factory Settings Using HP Smart App HP printer setup (HP Smart app)
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Select your printer and go to Advanced Settings (this opens the printer's EWS).
- Look for the option to Restore Factory Defaults in the Settings or Security sections.
- If a password prompt appears and you don't have the password, proceed to the next step.
3. Hard Reset via Printer Control Panel
If you can’t reset it through the software, attempt a hard reset using the printer's control panel:
- Turn off the printer.
- Press and hold the Resume/Cancel button (or similar button depending on the model).
- While holding it down, turn the printer back on.
- Hold the button for about 10-15 seconds until you see the printer restarting, which may reset the password.

I hope this helps.
