Hi @Freya88888,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thank you for reaching out. We understand the difficulty you’re facing connecting your printer to your flat’s Wi-Fi network.
Please note that HP printers are designed to connect to private home networks. In student accommodations or shared environments, such as those using Glide or other managed/public networks, the printer may not connect properly because these networks often restrict device-to-device communication for security reasons.
To resolve this, you can try one of the following:
- Use a personal hotspot from your mobile phone or another device and connect both your printer and computer/phone to that hotspot.
- Connect to your own router (if available) to create a private network.
- If you must use the flat’s network, please contact your building’s IT or Glide network administrator and request help in allowing your printer on the network.
Once your printer is on a private network, it should connect and work as expected through the HP App.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
