I  am having a problem printing.  It keeps telling me the driver is unavailable

If your HP ENVY Pro 6458 All-in-One Printer is showing a "driver unavailable" message, it often means that your printer’s software or drivers are either missing, outdated, or incompatible. Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

 

Restart Everything

Turn off your printer and computer, then turn them back on.

 

Update or Reinstall the Printer Driver

Sometimes, an outdated or corrupted driver is the root cause. To resolve this:

Uninstall Old Printer Drivers:

On Windows:

Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.

Right-click the HP printer and select Remove device.

Then, go to Device Manager > Printers, right-click your HP printer, and select Uninstall device.

On Mac:

Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.

Select your printer and click the minus sign to remove it.

Download and Install the Latest Driver:

Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model

HP ENVY Pro 6458 All-in-One Printer Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support.

Download the latest drivers for your operating system (Windows or macOS).

Follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.

After installation, restart your computer and try printing again.
