OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer series
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Whenever I try to print something like a Word document or PDF file it prints but I see no ink on the pages. The diagnostics work fine. When I print those tests I can see the ink on the page but, for other uses it does not print ink on the page. I have installed all drivers possible from the HP website for my printer. My firmware is up to date it says. Also what's weird is that I have another problem. There's a warning label on my device under devices and printers which is also listed under device manager. One of my devices listed as Acer Inc. System Firmware 1.09 has a driver problem. It says it's up to date, I've tried restarting the computer after a troubleshoot but the problem won't fix. What should I do for these two problems and do they go hand-in-hand?

@Jonathan3000, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Try making a standalone copy in black and color to check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Acer device is not connected to HP, you will have to check with Acer support.

On the print quality page, do you see both black and color?

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

Keep me posted.
