Hi @marieM6,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Printing random symbols is often caused by corrupted print jobs, incorrect printer drivers, or communication issues between your computer and the printer. Here are some steps you can follow to resolve this issue.

Restart Printer and Computer: Turn off your printer and computer. Wait for a few minutes and then turn them back on.

Clear Print Queue:

  • On your computer, go to the print queue and cancel all print jobs.
  • To clear the print queue on Windows:
    • Open Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
    • Select your printer, then click Open queue.
    • Right-click on the print jobs and select Cancel.
  • To clear the print queue on Mac:
    • Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
    • Select your printer and click Open Print Queue.
    • Select the print jobs and click Delete.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure you have the latest printer drivers installed.
  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e.
  • Install the drivers and restart your computer.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Make sure the printer settings match the document settings.
  • On Windows, go to Devices and Printers > Right-click on your printer > Printer Properties > Advanced tab > Printing Defaults.
  • On Mac, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Select your printer > Options & Supplies > Driver tab.

Test with a Different Document:

  • Sometimes, a specific document can cause issues. Try printing a different document to see if the problem persists.

Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a factory reset on your printer. Refer to the printer manual for specific instructions on how to reset your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e.

Check Connection:

  • If you're using a USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected.
  • If you're using a network connection, make sure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
