My printer is stuck on the hp loading screen . Ever since I stopped the subscription I can no longer use my printer as normal. I changed the ink out and it still won’t turn on?

before I had a subscription with HP my printer worked perfectly.

once I stopped the subscription it ruined my printer and I can no longer use it.

I have spoke to technical support before about the issue and they told me to change out the ink and it should work again. I did that and now it’s stuck on the HP loading screen.

Hi @Estrada1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP printer is stuck on the HP loading screen and this started after the Instant Ink subscription was stopped. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Perform a full power reset
Turn the printer on, then unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and wait at least 60 seconds.

Reconnect power directly to the wall outlet
Plug the power cord directly into a wall socket, not a power strip or extension.
Power the printer back on and check if it goes past the HP loading screen.

Check cartridge installation
Open the cartridge access door and remove all ink cartridges.
Power the printer on with no cartridges installed to see if it boots fully.

Reinstall cartridges one at a time
Once the printer powers on, insert the cartridges back in and close the access door.
Make sure they are genuine HP cartridges and seated firmly.

Look for firmware lock or initialization loop
If the printer remains stuck on the loading screen even without cartridges, it indicates a firmware startup issue.
This behavior is not related to Instant Ink charges, but may coincide with cartridge or firmware validation during startup.

Disconnect USB and network connections
Remove any USB cable and ensure Wi-Fi is not actively connecting during startup.
This helps rule out communication-related boot loops.

Allow sufficient startup time
After powering on, wait up to 5 minutes on the HP loading screen.
Some printers take longer to initialize after cartridge or subscription changes.

I hope this helps.
