HEY ALL I RESOLVED THIS BY MYSELF - I WENT TO APPLE AND DOWNLOADED NEW HP PRINTER DRIVERS. IT WAS SUPER EASY. FOUND SOLUTION THROUGH SOMEONE ELSE'S POST THOUGH I'M NOT SURE WHERE IT IS SO I CAN'T POINT YOU IN THAT DIRECTION. EVERYTHING WORKS GREAT NOW.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to print.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
Are you able to make a copy?
How is the printer connected to the computer?
Meanwhile, I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.
1.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
2.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.
3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list.
4.) Click the plus sign click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.
NOTE: Make sure that the printer Kind is Bonjour or Bonjour Multifunction, or USB.
5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add. Select AirPrint from the Use menu
6.) Try to print.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

I have this problem also. Apparently HP has an expired certificate so Mac anti-malware has tagged it as malware.
This is a huge problem. I have no way to print out my work. I can do no work. I have downloaded all sorts of drivers as recommended by HP and these "fixes" do not work.

Hi
This does not work.
I have HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer and Mac OS Catalina10.15.7 and my printer use to work well, but now it does not work at all. First, it was waiting for the printer. Now if I follow these instructions it will not recognize the printer.
Can someone please get a solution for this.
