HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer

OfficeJet 8025e will randomly print multiple pages with gibberish - usually just one or two lines.  I have removed the prnter, downloaded latest driver, reset modem, turned off printer and PC.  But it keeps happening.  This adversely affects my ink cartridge usage as pages printed affects the amount I am charged for ink.  What could be causing this and how do I fix?

The most common causes of gibberish printing:

1. wrong printer driver or a corrupt stale print job stuck in the queue. Follow the steps here https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-clear-printer-queue-in-windows-10/7e5ac... to purge the print spooler. If the printer is network connected it is possible that somone else has connected to the printer. Try changing the network address of the printer.

2. corrupted print job. Try printing a different file

3. bad usb cable can also cause corrupted jobs.
