Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP Officejet 4632. It is out of warranty, so I figured there was no hope of speaking with a human. However, I cannot get virtual help either. HP Support Assistant, detects my printer but will not add it, because it says my serial number is not valid. When I attempt to get support on the website, it's the same thing. I'm looking at the serial number on the label and I've retyped it a hundred times. My problem is that my new laptop will print but doesn't recognize the scanner option. All the AI help suggestions, have failed. Am I supposed to throw this perfectly good printer away? How can it be that there is no way to speak with human at HP, to help me with their product?
