@MargoW, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Network Connection Issues with HP Printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It appears that your HP printer is indicating no network connection despite other internet features working on your HP Pavilion Desktop. Here are some steps to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Verify Printer's Network Connection:

  • Make sure your printer is properly connected to the network. If it is a wired connection, ensure the Ethernet cable is securely connected to both the printer and the router.
  • For a wireless connection, check if the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. You can usually find this information on your printer's display screen.
  • If your printer has lost Wi-Fi connection, try reconnecting it by following the network setup instructions provided in the user manual or via the printer display.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart the printer: Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Restart the router: Unplug the router from the power source, wait for about 10 seconds, and then plug it back in.
  • Restart the computer: Similarly, restart your computer to ensure it's not causing any conflicts with the printer.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Navigate to the printer’s settings menu to ensure the network settings are correctly configured. Look for options like 'Network Setup' or 'Wi-Fi Setup Wizard'.
  • Print a network configuration or wireless test report from your printer, which often provides details on network status and errors.

Update Printer Software:

  • Ensure the printer firmware is up to date. You can check for firmware updates through the printer’s control panel or by visiting the HP support website.
  • Update the printer drivers on your computer. Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page, search for your printer model, and download the latest drivers.

Check Network Configuration:

  • Verify that the printer is set up on the same network as your computer. Sometimes settings can change or get reset.
  • Ensure your network router isn't blocking the printer’s IP address or any related network services.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
