Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Is the printer connected to a network?

If not, check out these examples to connect to network and then to a Chromebook for scanning:

Reset Printer wireless (if needed)

Connect printer to network with HP Smart app on an android phone:

Connect to 5GHz network @ time 3:30

Note, if the Chromebook does not support  5Ghz, connect printer to a 2.4GHz wireless network.

Connect and scan on Scan on Chromebook

Hope that helps!
