Hi @davenakash,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When your HP OfficeJet 4650 printer shows a "network error state," it usually indicates a connectivity issue between your printer and the network it's supposed to be connected to. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help resolve this issue.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from power.
  • Restart your router by unplugging it from power, waiting 30 seconds, and plugging it back in.
  • Wait for the router to fully restart, then plug in your printer and turn it back on.

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer or device.
  • On the printer’s control panel, go to the network settings or wireless menu to verify the connection status.
  • Print a network configuration report from the printer’s control panel to confirm its IP address and network settings.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Sometimes, updating the printer’s firmware can resolve connectivity issues. Check the HP support website for any available firmware updates for your HP OfficeJet 4650 model.

Restart Devices and Router:

  • Restart your printer and router as mentioned in step 1.
  • Ensure that there are no physical obstructions blocking the wireless signal between your printer and router.

Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings:

  • Temporarily disable firewall or antivirus software on your computer to see if they are blocking the printer’s network connection.
  • Add your printer’s IP address to the firewall’s exception list if necessary.

Reinstall Printer Software:

  • Remove the printer from your computer’s list of devices.
  • Reinstall the printer software by downloading the latest drivers and software package from the HP support website. Follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall the printer.

Reset Network Settings on Printer:

  • If other steps fail, you may need to reset the network settings on your printer and set it up again with the correct Wi-Fi network credentials.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the "network error state" issue on your HP OfficeJet 4650 printer and get it back to printing properly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
