Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Use HP Easy Start:

HP Easy Start is an application that helps with installing drivers for HP printers, and it often includes the latest drivers compatible with newer macOS versions.

  • Go to the HP Easy Start website and download the app.
  • Run the application and follow the instructions. It will guide you through the setup process and help you install the appropriate drivers.

Use macOS Built-In Drivers:

macOS sometimes includes drivers for older printers, including the LaserJet P1006. You can try adding the printer via the built-in driver selection:

  • Open System Settings (or System Preferences).
  • Go to Printers & Scanners.
  • Click the + button to add a printer.
  • Select your LaserJet P1006 if it shows up. If it does, it may already be using the right driver.

You can also visit the official HP website to download the latest drivers for your printer.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue
