Product: HP Deskjet 3050 J610
Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I download the Resolution above, (My Mac runs Big Sur 11.2.3) but I can't open the download because i get a message that says Apple is unable to scan it for malicious software.  Any way around that? Thanks

Hi,

Try following the Resolution section below, I believe this should help, be sure to check the Security & Privacy section as listed by the steps as well within System Preferences, if the HP Software may got blocked.:

 I tried but the software gets blocked by my new mac under suspicion of malicious malware. How can I unblock it? Or prevent this to happen in order to install it? I went to system and preferences but I don't see any option to unlock it there:

I downloaded the software listed on your solution that is the 2.3 but it did not work. apple is saying that in order to work I need the 2.3.2

Where can i find it?

Still did not work. This software is 2.3.They mention I need the latest firmware from hp (version 2.3.2) in order for the printer to work correctly wireless.  Apple is telling me that everything is ok on my computer but it seems that there's something missing on the hp software. If I connect the printer with a cable it works the printer still the scan option does not show. Is the version 2.3.2 available?

Is the printer connected via USB or wirelessly?

 

When you add a printer from System Preferences, can you see the printer listed immediately or any additional steps should be taken to add the printer?

thank you. yes it's wireless and yes i see it right away. however it does not print. the macbook air communicates with the printer and does all the actions as if it was printing (meaning shows the message printing pg1, etc)  but the printer does not print. Also i don't see the scan option.

please help me i really appreciate you trying. thank you
