9010e

Hello, I reconnected my 9010e, but it must have lost its memory and performed a reset because it’s asking me for a new cartridge to complete its initialization. The cartridges are still full.
I’ve tried different methods to bypass the problem, but apparently the only solution is an OOBE reset, and the procedure isn’t explained. Here are the specifications:
The cartridges are
HP 963 INSTANT INK READY Officejet Cyan Cartridge (3JA14A) HP 963 INSTANT INK READY Officejet Magenta Cartridge (3JA15A) HP 963 INSTANT INK READY OfficeJet Yellow Cartridge (3JA16A) HP
963 INSTANT INK READY OfficeJet Black Cartridge (3JA17A)
Model: HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 series (9010e)
Firmware:
Firmware Version MANHTNPP1N005.2623A.00
Build Date 2026-06-04

Hello @trucmachinchose, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for sharing your query.

The setup cartridges included with HP+ and Instant Ink eligible printers are intended to work during the initial printer setup and enrollment process.

If the printer remains enrolled in Instant Ink, the service requires an active Instant Ink subscription to continue using Instant Ink cartridges. When the subscription is cancelled, Instant Ink cartridges stop functioning, and standard HP cartridges must be installed for printing to continue.

We understand that this can be concerning, particularly if this information was not evident at the time of purchase. Your feedback regarding clearer communication of these requirements during the purchasing and setup process is valuable, and we will forward it to the appropriate team for review.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

Have a great day!

I'm an HP Employee.
