HP Envy 5052 All-In-One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Today, I privately purchased an HP Envy 5052 All-In-One inkjet printer from a local seller.

The device had never been unboxed nor had it been used -- I had to remove a cardboard spacer inside of the printer, and remove a few pieces of tape, presumably as placed there by the HP factory for safe shipping.

However, to my dismay, the seller did not include the originally-supplied SETUP ink cartridges, and could not locate them, and did not have the original bill-of-sale.

I invested in the correct (HP 65 "black" & "color") ink cartridges, and inserted them.

Soon after powering-up the printer, I get the error-message "use SETUP cartridges that came with your printer".

How can I bypass  or acknowledge that message, and  tell the printer to use the brand-new ink cartridges?

I did look at some web-sites, and some YouTube videos, but none of them were specific to this device.

The only button on the printer is the on/off button. There is a touch-screen, but that error-message has no "skip" nor "ok" buttons to tap.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

The only option left is to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset, and re-initialize the printer.
