I have been doing everything I can to try and print from HP Envy 5055 but nothing seems to work. I have powered both my laptop and printers off, restarted the wifi, and reconnected to the wifi. I've been trying to connect my laptop wireless with the WPS pin, but after putting the pin in right after it says the "printer quit waiting". So upon more research I then I came to the conclusion that my printer driver needs to updated on my laptop (I believe)
So now I have been trying to use the HP Smar App to diagnose the driver issues; it took awhile to diagnose the issue and it proceeded to say "Driver Check issue not fixed." And now I am stuck and don't know where to go from here because I feel like I go in a full circle when trying to fix the problem further.
First question is: Why are there two of my printers showing up when I want to connect them? one with DIRECT in front of its name and the other with Comcast and some other lettering which is my wifi provider.
Second question is: What other options do I have to fix the driver for my Windows 10 Laptop?
Please help, I need to print for school.

@Brendan23, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you are not able to print from your computer. Let us try these steps:
Try making a standalone copy from the flatbed glass and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
Delete both the entries of the printer on the computer.
On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings
Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.
Note: You cannot connect the printer to a guest/university network.
- Make sure the printer and the PCare connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
Use the HP Smart app to print and scan from your Win 10 PC
Click here to download and know more about the app.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
