To set up your new HP Officejet Pro 6978 printer, follow these steps.

Unpack the Printer: Remove the printer from its packaging and ensure all included components are present.

Power On: Plug the printer into a power source and turn it on using the power button.

Language and Country/Region Selection: The printer will likely prompt you to select your preferred language and country/region. Follow the on-screen instructions to make these selections.

Install Ink Cartridges: Open the printer's ink cartridge access door. Wait for the carriage to move to the center of the printer. Remove the protective tape from the new ink cartridges and insert them into their respective slots. Close the cartridge access door.

Load Paper: Open the paper input tray and load it with plain, unused paper. Adjust the paper guides to fit the paper size.

Install Printer Software: You can install the printer software using one of the following methods:

• CD/DVD Installation: If your printer came with a CD/DVD, insert it into your computer's CD/DVD drive and follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
