I lost communication between the printer above with Windows 7 desktop cpu.  Tried re-installing using Vista cd (only one I have) and I need compatibility info so I could install it again.  It was working, but I don't know what happened and why I lost communicatio.  Thanks.

Not sure why a Vista CD is used on a Win 7 PC.

Can you install using this wizard:

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.

Hope that helps!

Hello, Dean.  I thank you for your quick response.  Before I received your reply email, I "fiddled" with the printer myself.  I restored my cpu to a date before the last time I tried using the printer.  I think that helped.  I also did some research and found out that Windows provides help in the os for installing printers.  I tried that as well, and it worked.  I know have my printer working as it was before.  I think that an electric stoppage in my house must have thrown it off.  Anyway, I am keeping your reply email in my "HP" email group.  Thank you again.

Hi @cklc,

Glad to hear that your issue is resolved and all is working well now.

ALways good to keep a copy of the FULL feature software somewhere as it will be helpful if you need it and saves time to download.

Have a nice day!
