Hi @MikeB01,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you would like to set up a destination for scanned documents using HP scanners, you can configure the system to save scans to network folders or FTP servers. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Install HP Smart or Full Feature Software

  • Download HP Smart or the full driver package from HP’s support site.
  • This enables scanning functions on your PC/Mac.

Set Up “Scan to Computer”

  • Open HP Printer Assistant (Windows) or HP Easy Scan (Mac).
  • Enable “Scan to Computer” under the Scan settings.
  • Choose default destination folders (e.g., Documents, Pictures).

Configure Network Scan (Optional)

  • Access the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) by typing its IP address in a browser.

Navigate to Scan → Scan to Network Folder/Email.

  • Add destinations (shared folders or email addresses).
  • Save settings so they appear on the printer’s control panel.

Test a Scan

  • Place a document in the scanner.
  • Select the destination (PC, folder, or email) from the printer’s panel.
  • Confirm the file arrives in the chosen location.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!
