Hi @3Akua

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I am sorry for the difficulty you are facing with scanning on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035. I understand how important it is to have the latest updates so the printer works smoothly, and I appreciate the effort you’ve already put into troubleshooting.

Here are the steps you can follow to download and install the latest update:

Step 1: Check for Updates via HP App

  • On your Windows PC, open the HP App.
  • Go to “Printers” and select your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035.
  • Navigate to “Printer Settings” > “Advanced Settings.”
  • Look for “Firmware Update” or “Update Printer.”
  • Apply any available updates and restart the printer.

Step 2: Download Updates from HP Support Website

  • Visit HP’s driver and software page for your printer:
    https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/printers
  • Select your operating system (Windows 10 or Windows 11).
  • Download the latest “Firmware Update Utility” and “Full Feature Software and Drivers.”
  • Run the installer and follow the on‑screen instructions.

Step 3: Verify Scanner Functionality

  • After updating, open the HP App again.
  • Select “Scan” and test with a document.
  • If scanning still does not work, restart both the printer and PC, then retry.

Step 4: Use HP’s Diagnose & Fix Tool (Windows)

Install or Open HP Smart

  • Download from the Microsoft Store.
  • Launch the app and sign in with your HP account if prompted.

 Access Diagnose & Fix

  • Select your printer from the home screen.
  • Click Printer Settings.
  • Scroll to Diagnose & Fix.
  • Click Start and let it run a full scan.

It will automatically detect and resolve common issues like scanning failures, connection drops, and driver conflicts.

These steps should help ensure your printer has the latest updates and restore scanning functionality.
