How do I connect a LaserJet 4000N to a network with a 10.13 computer? The printer was on my network until recently but the 10.13 computer no longer works, so I'd like to use another 10.13 computer to put the printer on the network.

HP tech support could offer no help other than to offer to sell me a new printer.

MacOS please read this article.

This list of HP printers can be used with MacOS 11 or under.  Unfortunately, the 4000N is not in that list.

Download this software for those printers

If your printer is not on that list then it must be used with MacOS 12 or later.

If you have a recent HP printer it may work on older MacOS 11 or under but you need to use either USB or the AirPrint Apple setup app. HP Smart is unlikely to run on older MacOS as it is a 32-bit OS.

Let me know what you find out.

I have been unable to put my LaserJet 4000N on my network using either a 10.13 or 14.7 computer.
