Officejet Pro 8100
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Upgraded computer to Dell XPS 8930 with Win 10 (64) home.  Need help to get Officejet to connect to WiFi so I can use it with XPS and other computers on home network.  Have NetGear 7000 AC router, with 5G and 2.4G enabled with different names.  Downloaded/installed latest Officejet software/drivers, printer works with USB connection to my XPS, but can't get Officejet on to the network.  Would appreciate help to get this done.

Welcome to HP community!

I understand you are unable to print via wireless from your Dell XPS computer. I aslo see that you have a dual band router with 5G and 2.4G. I request you to connect the printer and computer to 2.4G network only, as printer doesnt support 5G network.

Please do let us know if you need any further help!

B_sri,

Thanks for the reply

I have tried connecting this XPS computer to the router on 2.4G, and still couldn't get the printer to recognize/sign onto the router.  If you have step by step instructions how that might work, I would try it again.

I have 3 other computers on the 5G network as well.  Will I have to have them on the 2.4G band for them to use the printer if I can get it to sign onto the 2.4G band?
