Hi @marthamest ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are trying to perform a factory reset of your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-In-One Printer, follow these steps:
Step 1: Prepare the Printer
- Turn on the printer if it is not already on.
- Disconnect any USB cables from the printer. Make sure the printer is connected to the power source.
Step 2: Access the Printer's Control Panel
- On the printer's control panel, touch the 'Setup' icon (the gear icon).
- Scroll down and select 'Printer Maintenance'.
Step 3: Reset the Printer
- Within the 'Printer Maintenance' menu, look for the option that says 'Restore' or 'Restore Factory Defaults'. Select it.
- Confirm that you want to restore the printer to its factory settings. The printer will begin the reset process. This may take a few minutes.
Step 4: Reconfigure the Printer
- After the reset is complete, the printer will restart. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the printer again.
- Reconnect it to your network if necessary, and reconfigure any settings as needed.
Additional Steps (if necessary)
If you can't access the menu to perform the reset, you might need to use a more advanced method:
- Unplug the printer while it is turned on.
- Wait for about 30 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- While it is starting up, press and hold the 'Help' and 'Back' buttons (or equivalent buttons on your model) simultaneously for about 10-15 seconds. This should force a reset menu to appear.
Important Notes:
- Restoring factory settings will erase all network and user settings.
- If the reset does not resolve your issue, check for firmware updates from the HP website and apply them to ensure your printer has the latest software.
Reconnecting to Network:
- Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network by going to the 'Network' or 'Wireless' menu in the settings.
- Follow the prompts to enter your network credentials.
After performing these steps, your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e should be restored to factory settings, and you should be able to reconfigure it for use with your Windows 11 system.
