Apple is reporting that the next update from Tahoe 26.5.1 will no longer support this printer.
I cannot find a MAC update for Tahoe 26.5.1 - anyone?
Thanks in advance!

Hi @MARCIJO
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Apple’s upcoming macOS Tahoe 26.5.1 update will phase out Rosetta support, which affects older Intel-based drivers. For your HP ENVY Photo 7855, the correct path is to use the latest HP App (formerly HP Smart) and ensure the printer firmware is updated. HP does not release a separate “Tahoe 26.5.1 driver”—instead, compatibility is maintained through the HP App and firmware updates.
Steps to Ensure Compatibility for HP ENVY Photo 7855 on macOS Tahoe 26.5.1
1. Install the Latest HP App
- Open the Mac App Store.
- Search for HP App and install the latest version.
- This replaces HP Smart and ensures compatibility with macOS 26.x and Apple silicon.
2. Update Printer Firmware
- Open the HP App.
- Select your HP ENVY Photo 7855 printer.
- Navigate to Printer Settings > Advanced Settings (this opens the Embedded Web Server).
- Check for firmware updates and apply them.
3. Reconfigure HP Scan
- In the HP App, select Scan.
- If prompted, allow installation of updated HP Scan components.
- Perform a test scan to confirm functionality.
4. Reset HP App if Needed
- Go to System Settings > Applications > HP App > Reset.
- Re-add your printer in the HP App.
Note:
- No separate Tahoe 26.5.1 driver package exists. HP maintains support through the HP App and firmware updates.
- The “Not Private” message you may see when accessing Advanced Settings (Embedded Web Server) is expected—it is safe to proceed since this is a direct connection to your printer’s internal configuration page.
- Completing these steps ensures your HP ENVY Photo 7855 remains functional after macOS Tahoe 26.5.1.
You can download the latest drivers and firmware directly from our support page for your printer.
