Hi @MicheleM21,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how important it is to keep your trusted HP Photosmart D110 series printer working, even as technology moves forward. It’s like holding onto a favorite pen, reliable, familiar, and full of memories.

Although this model is now officially retired and no longer listed on HP’s website, we still want to help you get it working on Windows 11 using generic drivers that are compatible.

Windows 11 includes basic print and scan drivers for many older HP printers, including the Photosmart D110 series. These are known as inbox drivers and are installed automatically when you connect the printer via USB or add it over Wi-Fi.

To Install the Generic Driver:

  1. Connect your printer via USB or ensure it’s on the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  3. Click Add device and wait for Windows to detect your printer.
  4. If detected, Windows will install a basic driver automatically.

If Not Detected Automatically:

You can manually add it using the Add Printer Wizard:

  1. Press Windows + R, type control printers, and press Enter.
  2. Click Add a printer.
  3. Choose “The printer that I want isn’t listed”.
  4. Select “Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings”.
  5. Choose USB port or TCP/IP (for Wi-Fi).
  6. Select HP from the manufacturer list and choose:
    • HP Photosmart D110 series (Class Driver)
    • Or the HP Photosmart driver if available.
