New Printer HP Envy 6155e won't print and doesn't show in Control Panel Programs and Features to uninstall and reinstall. It was working fine in windows 10 and will print from by pc working in windows 10 and shows both my printers in the Control Panel. My laptop system installed windows 11 on its own which I had been declining. It bogged my laptop down and now functions quite slow. Windows 11 upgrade did not install all programs including my 2 printers in the Control Panel. How do I uninstall Printer 6155e that show ready in smart app but does not function so I can reinstall and see if the problem will be fixed. The 6155e shows to be compatible with windows 11. I have had several Microsoft techs working on Windows 11 just to get it working but as far as I know the printer is main issue, I have installed many of programs that were missing. Any ideas how to correct this all-in-one printer to get it functioning properly. This has been a real nightmare and very time consuming. Windows system created an issue by taking something that was working great and crated multiple issues for no good reason. I am not really good in knowing how to correct these issues, self-taught and not a tech.

Hi @mooner3,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I can truly understand how frustrating and exhausting it must be to deal with a printer that worked perfectly on Windows 10, only to become unresponsive after an automatic upgrade to Windows 11especially when you're not a tech expert and have already spent hours trying to fix it. Let’s walk through this together

Step-by-Step Fix: Uninstall and Reinstall Your HP Printer on Windows 11

1. Remove the Printer from the HP Smart App

  • Open HP Smart
  • Right-click your printer → Select “Hide Printer” or “Remove”

2. Remove the Printer from Windows Settings

  • Go to Settings → Bluetooth & Devices → Printers & Scanners
  • Click your HP ENVY 6155e → Select Remove Device

3. Remove Printer Drivers from Device Manager

  • Press Windows + X → Select Device Manager
  • Expand Print Queues
  • Right-click any HP-related entries → Select Uninstall Device

4. Uninstall HP Smart App (if needed)

  • Go to Settings → Apps → Installed Apps
  • Find HP Smart → Click Uninstall

5. Restart Your Computer

This clears any lingering driver or service conflicts.

6. Reinstall HP App and Printer Drivers

Install the full driver package and follow the setup prompts.

7. Add the Printer Again

  • Open the HP app
  • Click “Add Printer”
  • Follow the steps to connect via Wi-Fi or USB

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
