We have changed ISP and received a new router/modem.

The wifi addresses have changed, and the PC's have reconnected with no problem. Even my old OfficeJet 6968 reconnected. However, my Laserjet M148 cannot connect to the new network.

I connected the USB printer cable and opened the software, but none of the choices will change the local IP address. This is something that should be settable manually on the printer display but is not. Is there a trick to his?

OK; On this model printer the "defaulting" selection path is

Setup Menu --> Service --> Restore Defaults (user touch-screen)

With this I am able to clear the IP address previously stored. I was able to go in with the software loaded on a laptop and, via the USB printer port, got it to self-assign an IP address to the new wifi network. I tested this by printing a document and all is good.

Next, I grabbed a different laptop but couldn't find the printer. I can call up the IP in Chrome - and there is the built-in webpage. So I know I can reach the printer on other laptops using the IP address.  However, when I try to connect to print/scan, I get a message that drivers are not installed. Also, when trying to setup the pc-printer connection on the 2nd laptop, it cannot find the Name (SSID) - yet can find the printer via IP.

Any ideas?
