HP DeskJet 2952 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

My new printer (HP DeskJet 2952) works wirelessly when first set up as long as it is kept turned on. Once it is turned off, it will not work without going through the complete installation process again. No errors show on the printer itself. The most frequent error appearing on the computer screen is: "printer is in error state." Reinstalling ink and paper and making sure all doors are closed does nothing.  Other errors appearing on the computer screen are: "error printing," "printer needs your attention," and "no paper" (even when paper is loaded). It appears that the printer can't connect wirelessly once it has been turned off. Our TVs, kindle, Roku, and phone never have a problem connecting. How do I fix this so that the printer will work after being turned off and on again?

I suggest that you try assigning a static IP address to the printer. This can be done on the printer itself or most routers have the ability to assign the same address to a device every time it connects.
