Hi there,
I have installed a new officejet pro 9012e. It is working fine & is my default printer but doesn't show up as an icon/image on the HP Smart dashboard with my other devices on my computer. My old officejet pro 8610 is still there (which is no longer in use) & I don't know how to remove it.

I can totally understand the situation you're facing with your new OfficeJet Pro 9012e not showing up on the HP Smart dashboard alongside your other devices. It's great that the printer is working fine as your default, but the missing icon can be a bit perplexing. Regarding the lingering OfficeJet Pro 8610, let's tackle that. You can go to your computer's settings, navigate to 'Devices,' and then 'Printers & Scanners.' From there, you should be able to select the old 8610 and remove it. Now, back to the 9012e, sometimes these dashboard discrepancies happen due to minor glitches. Try restarting both your printer and computer, and give it a moment. If the issue persists, consider reinstalling the HP Smart app or updating it to the latest version. It's fascinating how these digital quirks can pop up, but with a bit of tech tango, we can have your HP Smart dashboard looking sleek and orderly in no time. Let me know if that helps!
