I have a an HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 that’s been a real aid over the past 10-12 years. However, HP has decided to no longer make the ink cartridge refills available - model 950XL black and model 951 XL magenta, cyan and yellow.  So, I bought a new OfficeJet Pro 8053e. First time model numbers have ever decreased over the years. Anyway, I am curious about the ink cartridges supplied by HP. They are tiny compared with the sizes of the 8600 cartridges. Has the character of the ink changed or are we going to have to replace them more frequently for more money? I’m going to wait a few months to begin using the new printer so that I can use up as much ink as possible in the 8600. I will still have several magenta cartridges left over. If anyone has a couple of blue and yellow I’d be happy to switch for a couple of my magenta cartridges. Just drop me an email at[Personal Information Removed]

 

I never asked about the 8053e capabilities with photo printing, not that it’s so important. I think I’m still better off doing so on the web or thru and online printshop. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
