HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ew0000 (549V4AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My operating system is Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (OS Build 26100.3476).

Ever since the last HP Bios update, my left and right cursor keys, home button and delete button does not work.

When I try to update or re-install the BIOS through HP assistant, there is no option for the 24H2 - only the earlier versions.  I cannot revert to an earlier version of the BIOS.

Does HP not have a BIOS update for my laptop for 24H2?

What can I do to get my keyboard working again?

@PurchyPop, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Restoring Keyboard Functionality:

To resolve the non-functional keys issue, consider the following steps:

Reinstall Keyboard Drivers:

Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
Expand the "Keyboards" section.
Right-click on your keyboard device and choose "Uninstall device."
Restart your laptop; Windows should automatically reinstall the appropriate drivers.
This method has been effective for some users experiencing similar issues.

Perform a Hard Reset:

Shut down your laptop.
Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
Press and hold the power button for about 15-30 seconds to discharge residual power.
Reconnect the battery and power adapter.
Power on the laptop and check if the keyboard functions correctly.
This step can help reset the hardware components and has been recommended in similar scenarios.

Update or Roll Back BIOS:

Visit the HP Support page for your laptop model.
Check for any available BIOS updates compatible with your current Windows version.
If a newer BIOS version is available, follow the provided instructions to update.
If the problem started after a BIOS update and persists, consider rolling back to a previous BIOS version using HP's Firmware Management utility.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
