Yes, it would definitely be frustrating to unbox a new printer and find the power cord missing -especially when the box appears factory-sealed.
Here are a few steps you can take:
Double-check the packaging: HP often tucks the power cord into a recessed area of the molded foam inserts or behind a flap inside the printer's cardboard packaging. It can be easy to overlook.
Check the documentation pouch: Sometimes the cord is coiled and placed inside the bag or slot that holds the user manuals.
Retail store purchase? Contact the store where you bought the printer. Explain that the power cord was missing. Most reputable retailers will either provide a replacement or help you get in touch with HP support.
Bought online or need official support? You can contact HP Support directly:
Have your serial number and proof of purchase handy.
For the HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e, the printer should absolutely come with a power cord in the box. If it's not there and wasn't hidden in packaging, it's likely an oversight during packing or a rare manufacturing error.
