Hello,

 

I can't use this device as the original setup cartridges are not available (I have normal cartridges available, though). How can I bypass this message (can't even press any buttons)?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

The only option left is to perform an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer. The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hi, thanks for the answer.

But I'm afraid, this doesn't work. The sequence to enter the 'service menu' you provided doesn't work with this model.

 

However, I was able to enter something called a 'support menu' instead with BL, BL, BL, BL.

 

But even then there is no OOBE reset option in the reset menu listed. It's only

  • Country/Language reset
  • Partial reset
  • Semi-Full reset

Tried them all, none of them made this stupid message going away...
