Hi @Curtdrac,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Envy 4520 is not working after updating to Mac OS Tahoe. Let’s go through a few steps to get it connected.

a. Check Printer Compatibility
 - Verify that HP Envy 4520 is compatible with Mac OS Tahoe.
 - HP website provides the latest drivers for Mac; some older drivers may not work with newer OS updates.

b. Reinstall Printer Drivers
 - Go to HP’s official website → Support → Software & Drivers → Mac → Download the latest full feature driver for your model.
 - Uninstall any old drivers before installing the new ones.
 - Restart your Mac after installation.

c. Remove and Re-Add Printer
 - Open System Settings → Printers & Scanners.
 - Select the HP Envy 4520 and click to remove it.
 - Click + → Add Printer or Scanner, select your printer, and ensure it uses the AirPrint or HP driver option.

d. Check Network Connection
 - If your printer is wireless, ensure it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac.
 - Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer to verify connectivity.

e. Reset Mac Printing System
 - Open System Settings → Printers & Scanners → Right-click (or Control-click) in the printer list → Reset printing system.
 - Re-add your printer after the reset.

f. Test with Another App or Document
 - Sometimes a printing issue is app-specific. Try printing from Preview, Safari, or TextEdit to confirm.

I hope this helps.
