How can I bypass setup ink. I just purchased a new never used still in the box, but old, hp photo smart 5520 printer. It is missing the setup ink and won’t let me do anything with the ink I bought. Can anyone help me please,

Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

To bypass the message on the printer the only option left is to perform an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer.

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

 

Please help us with the Printer serial number or the product number on a private message for further assistance.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name.

 

Note: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
